ADMINISTRATION

The University of Yangon Act. 1920, as subsequently amended was used up to 1964. A new University

Education Act was promulgated by the Government in 1973 replacing the 1964 Act, which is still being

used. However, the Act has been modified and changed according to the prevailing circumstances.  All rights reserved.

Duties of the Administrative Body

1.

To act in accordance with rules, directives and orders relating to financial matters.

2.

To prescribe and enforce rules and regulations for students.

3.

To supervise matters relating to the estate.

4.

To supervise sports and cultural activities of students.

5.

To supervise and promote the health of the staff and students.

6.

To supervise hostel affairs.

7.

To select students who deserve stipends or free tuition.
