CONCLUSION

Time passed and time moved from second millennium to third. The 20th. Century had shown tremendous rapid development in technology in almost every field. Development in information technology combines with transport facilities leads to globalization and liberation of trade and professions. The responsibility of producing and training the new generation of doctors to work in the 21st century in this global village, falls on the existing and new Medical Universitys of the country. The quality characteristics of the doctors of the 21st century is well described by the WHO as five star doctors.

To produce these five stars doctors, University of Medicine ( 1 ) has done the necessary preparation. The following programs are on the way.

Development of Medical Information Development of skill training program.

Development of Laboratories and Research Facilities.

Development of Medical Education strategies and methods

Development of Curriculum

Development of Continuing Medical Education Program. Etc...

These programs are at different level of implementation. To be more effective, exchange of idea with Universities, Institutions and Medical Education Organizations all over the world is a necessity. In this global village, collaboration and cooperation of all concerned parties will eventually produce the appropriate generation of Guardian of Health for the Next Millennium. In this aspect, co-operation and support from the China Medical Board of New York to the University of Medicine ( 1 ) to develop the Medical Information Center provide a sound platform for the University of Medicine ( 1 ) to leap into the next millennium.
