TRANSFER TO HEALTH MINISTRY

AIn October 1973, all Medical Universitys ware transferred from the Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Health. A separate Directorate – the Department of Medical Education – (now, Department of Medical Science) was specifically created for the management of these Universitys. Professor Khin Maung Win was then appointed as the Director General of the Department of Medical Education.
