Objectives

1. Training of teachers through Workshops, seminars, exchange of expertise (Local and foreign)

2. Introduction of P.B.L. into the existing conventional medical curriculum.

3. Development and dissemination of educational knowledge and technology.

4.Review of medical curriculum and identifying problem areas in health personnel education.

5. Evaluation of ongoing educational program of the University.

6. Educational Research.

7. Development of ME unit to Medical Educational Resource Center to meet the educational needs of the medical profession.

Functions

1. Personnel development: This includes training programs; production of learning materials and maintenance of equipment; exchange of expertise; orientation to innovative approaches in education and health care and research.

2. Learning material development.

3. Review and development of Curriculum if and when necessary.

4. Evaluation of existing Curriculum.

5. Consultative services to Departments under the University as necessary.
